SVG beta export

SVG beta gives you a vector version of a selected generated PNG. It is useful for testing path-based workflows, but it should be checked before cutting or engraving.

Generate PNG first

Create and select the PNG version you want. SVG beta is attached to that selected result, so switching between versions also switches the available SVG state.

Expect a short wait

Vector conversion can take up to a couple of minutes. The PNG remains available while the SVG beta file is being prepared.

Inspect paths before use

Open the SVG in your laser or design software and check for tiny fragments, overly dense curves, or shapes that do not match the PNG closely enough.

Photo tips

  • Use SVG beta on cleaner, simpler PNG results first.
  • Keep PNG as the fallback when paths look too fragmented.
  • Check curves, small text, eyes, fur, wheels, and thin outlines at the final size.
  • Use the PNG download for customer approval if the SVG needs extra cleanup.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming a vector file is automatically better than the PNG.
  • Sending the SVG to the laser without checking the path count or curve quality.
  • Generating SVG from a PNG that is already too busy.
  • Forgetting that beta output may need cleanup in design software.

FAQs

Does SVG beta cost a credit?

No. SVG beta is generated from an already-created PNG and does not use another generation credit.

Can I download both PNG and SVG?

Yes. Keep the PNG as the reliable primary file and use the SVG beta when the traced paths suit your workflow.

Why does SVG beta take time?

The app converts the selected PNG into vector paths and checks the result. More complex line art can take longer.
