Logo to line art for engraving

Logos are different from photos. The cleanest results come from simple, high-contrast artwork with readable shapes and limited fine detail.

Start with the cleanest logo file

Use a flat logo image if you have one. Avoid photos of signs, screenshots with compression, or logos on textured backgrounds.

Keep the design engravable

Very thin text, gradients, and tiny marks may not engrave well. Simpler logo artwork usually performs better.

PNG first, SVG beta when useful

LineArtReady exports PNG as the primary file and can generate SVG beta from a selected PNG. Check beta paths before using them for production.

Photo tips

  • Use a black or dark logo on a plain light background where possible.
  • Avoid watermarks, shadows, and gradients.
  • Keep the logo large in the image.
  • Check small lettering at final engraving size.

Common mistakes

  • Uploading a photo of a printed logo at an angle.
  • Using a logo with fine gradient detail.
  • Expecting very small text to engrave cleanly.
  • Using a low-resolution screenshot.

FAQs

Can LineArtReady convert logos?

It can help with simple logo images, but clean source artwork matters more than with normal photos.

Can I test SVG beta for logos?

Yes. Simple logo-style artwork is a good candidate for SVG beta, but inspect small lettering and path quality before cutting.

What logo files work best?

Simple, high-contrast, high-resolution logo images with minimal small text.
